Web 2.0 Tools can be an effective tool in the classroom if used properly. There is no doubt that using these two functionalities can create a dynamic lesson environment for students in order to enhance their learning. However, the time in setting up these sorts of tools can be a bit prohibitive. For instance, it took me the better part of an hour to do the following two things:
Those were just small fractions of whole lessons. I think if you can create the content and have plenty of time on your hands, then it would work well, but having a library of content is a very time-intensive thing. However, as more integration of these technologies occur, it will be easier to transfer lessons over, so these tools are definitely the wave of the future.
